Hi, I’m Ian, welcome to my website!

About Me

I recently graduated from Oregon State University with an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Robotics. I am passionate about developing robotic systems and automation technologies that solve real-world engineering challenges, with interests spanning robotics, advanced manufacturing, and sustainable technologies.

My master’s thesis focused on SCAPE, an automation framework for robotic Laser Directed Energy Deposition (LDED) that synchronizes robot motion with manufacturing process control to enable large-scale dataset production for machine learning training. This work combined robotics, software development, additive manufacturing, and embedded software-hardware integration.

I enjoy designing intelligent robotic systems, developing automation software, and tackling complex engineering problems through practical, creative solutions. Explore my portfolio and resume to learn more about my projects and experience.
